Something Good about L lense

Its freezing icy cold in Haerbin...
-30°C degree celsius (minus, 30 degree below...-_-|||)...
the road were cover with ice...had to walk carefully as it extremely slipplery...
the shoes we wear must be at least 1 inch thick from the bottom...

What to suggest?
It isn't neccessary to get any weather proof or any winter shoes before you plan to travel to Haerbin, as mostly will turn up useless and cannot keep you warm...(you barely could imagine how cold the weather is until you had reach there... =P)

Your tourist guide will bring you to shop for shoes once you arrive which is suitable to their weather and it is cheap... only cost RMB100 to RMB150 (RMB = China's Yuan)...(unless you travel by your own then you might need ask the local ppl where to get a warm shoes...you can't walk with your own shoes as the land itself is cold enought to pain your feet)

Picture above were Canon 16-35mm F2.8 LII and Canon 24-70mm F2.8 L....
They are cover with ice once we enter the coach after visiting The Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival....

Inside The Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival park, the temperature is way more cooler than the outside... Due to surrounding by Ice and Snow Sculpture....
It is -30 and below.... somehow, there's a lil windy....
GOSH~~~ My face and fingers were all pain till they get numbs...
We spend nearly an hour there...
(that was our first stop to visit when we first arrival Haerbin...)
Try imagine, we fly all the way from a tropical country which is 25-30+ degree to a complete icy cold country.....
It is about 70 degree different... -_-|||||

okok...lets draw back to the L lense topic...

Im using Canon 7D and my cousin is using 5D Mark II....
Due to the extra ordinary cold weather, our camera had been jam or few time..
It just takes around 10 second to recover back to working condition... =P

While we were still in the park... our cam and lense look just normal...
No cover by ice....
But once we enter the coach, which is very warm....
Our cam and lense suddenly cover by ice...(which u can refer to the picture above...the cam body wasn't quite obvious but the lense)...

After 20-30 mins bus drive...we finally reach our dinning restaurant...
Our ice on our lense start melting...
Firstly we were quite worried will our cam body and lense turns into damage as we have no dry cabin...(still have 7 day left to stay in this icy cold place)
The water from the lense keep melting...and it drips a lil....

One hour later...(after finished dinner...)

All the ice had turn into water and our lense and camera's body are all still working in good condition...woohooo~~~ d(^___^)b
Even when time I had reach my tropical hometown...my cam's body and lense are still in very good condition... no mould... or anything spoil...
(I did not send to service, just place it in the dry box)

So...this prove that L lense are really weather proof... not just a "title" for advetisement/marketing....
It worth the price....

Picture above were taken by my cuttie Canon S95...
