Sematan

Waterfall @ Kampung Pueh

We have been to Sematan for several time but never know there's a waterfall...
Thanks to Jong, a wedding and portraits photographer, told me about this hidden waterfall....
(To view his blog please click >>  http://skjongphotography.blogspot.com/ ... you may also find Travel Photos from his blog ^__^...)

Its not easy to find out this place without him and the help from kampung people give us the direction... As we got to went through one kampung before we enter this kampung.... ^__^

No worry, its an easy path.. all u need to do is just walking without climbing... ^___^
The road is well maintain....

want some Koropok? ... (snack in English)

With just a few minutes walks...
Now u see ...the waterfall... =P
Its not a very tall / huge waterfall... but u can still enjoy hearing the sounds of water...
I love the fresh air... ^_^

a lil distance aways from the bridge (where I'm stand for photo shooting) to the waterfall...
it might be a lil difficult to reach there due to the slippery rocks which cover with mould...

steady...steady... =P

took these pics with my 18-135mm lense...
it seems so close but its actually quite far... i had to zoom my lens till maximum...

leaking pipe...

a dying Nepenthes....

we try to explorer if there is another waterfall nearby...
unfortunately its the end of the road...T.T

never mind... lets take a group photo... =P
(from right to left:   Mr. Phang, Mr. Kong , Mr. Wong and Miss Yang)

something I found at the path side...
Pepper~~~
exposing the pepper under the hot sun waiting for it to dry out...
dried pepper can be produce to pepper powder...

thought its an easy path but still will sweat a lot...due to the hot weather....
feels like we are being BBQ... =P

trying monochrome effect...
how do u guys think? ^^

out from the bushes ...

hm.. time for cooling... ^_^

here we go >>>

Sematan Palm Beach Resort

ha... i like trying different effect...
it makes photo more lively...
do u guys think so?

i was far away from them... standing at the resort platform...
to get this pic, i max my lens to 135mm with 100% crop...
(JPEG file... no RAW...)

ha~~~ time for myself to get something cool....
placing my legs in the pool which get me the fasters way to release the heat...
then simply snap snap the boys while sitting at the pool....

can u guys point out the couples? =P

while i'm taking Mr. Kong portrait, a mum and her daughter swim by... teaching her child how to swim...
her act remind me how my dad teach me swim when he first brought me to swimming pool...
it was such a sweet and lovely memories....
I love u Dad.... 0(^__^)0

Canon or Nikon?

are you guys able to spot what cam he is using... (eyes testing).. =P

sweet le~~~
peewit~~

crop crop crop....

aren't they romantic...?

oopps...
bad wind...

Guess you guys able to spot it now... don't u?

isn't it sweet holding each other hands walking along the beach with no one around besides me, the big big bulb, standing there taking their pic... =P

i like picture with shadow...

its not easy being a model...
for example...
>you got to keep on smiling for sm1 to get a nice smiling pic of you... after couples of shot, you will end up facial cramps... don doubt with tat... try one then u will know....
>standing by facing the sunlight for someone to take pic of your back... T.T

Thank you guys for being my model...
very appreciate...
辛苦你们啦 。。。

the crab move so fast....
a second before it was still on the sand...
once i turn my cam trying to give it a shot it hide into the hole with in a second...
argh~~~~

this hole is different from the other ...
why?
Its much more larger at least twice time larger than anyone else u may find at the beach here...

something caught my eyes...
a cute lil flower....
very strong contrast for a red flower on the beach....

trying different angle ....
which u guys think its the best?
or maybe any different idea?....
would love to hear from you... ^_^

haaa~~ finally sunset....

i was quite disappointed this time as I purposely bring the couples here to see the colorful sunset....
but~~but~~but~~the sky is covered with thick grey cloud...
argh~~

let me present you :

The Couple of the Year -- Mr. Phang and Mr. Kong

or should I say 2011 Broke Back Mountain? lollll

the butterfly man ...

run for your life... the butterfly man is coming....

Mr. Kong is hiding to escape...

teaching cat how to swim....

teaching...

master and student....

very nice pool...
u can sit inside the pool to take picture too...
the part that facing the beach is very shallow....
just a ankle high...or maybe a lil more...just tat height....

Here they have bathroom... so no worry after swimming in the beach or pool....
How about the charges?
> you only have to pay for the entrance fee once then u may enjoy their pool, beach and bathroom for free.... (Adults: Ringgit Malaysia 5.00 ; Children: Ringgit Malaysia 3.00)

If u would like to have a ride with their bicycle... then you might have to pay extra...
they charge by hour....

we drove back to Kuching around 7 something...
raining heavily... we barely could drive....
as there's no street light and the front mirror was extremely blur...
therefore we stop by a restaurant waiting for the rain to stop....

just when we manage to get a seat for few minutes...
a strong lightning thunder came....
all the electricity was suddenly cut off....
the owner of the restaurant provide us the candle...

Candle light dinner....woo hooo...

try this by add on more on aperture and slow down the shutter speed...
can u guys able to spot something covered in the dark in this pic (below)?

ha~~ here come the answer....
>Mr. Wong & his cam...
